The only brownie recipe you will EVER need. The batter comes together in 5 minutes, in one pan, with a handful of ingredients. And since they bake in less than 20 minutes, you can enjoy these fudgy, buttery brownies (adorned with a crackly top) whenever you want.
I'm serious here - this is the easiest brownie recipe of all time. And look at the perfect ratio of fudgy middle to crackly top! All it takes is ONE pan and ONE whisk. No separate bowls for wet and dry ingredients. No mixer. I mean, that's about as easy as it gets! And the result is divine!
Just wait until you let one melt on your tongue...
Want some add-ins? No problem! Walnuts, peanuts, almonds, pecans, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, mini marshmallow, chocolate chunks, and dried fruit all make great additions. Simply fold about 1/2 cup of each into the batter before transferring the batter to the pan.
Ultimate One Pan Brownies
Cooking spray
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.
Melt the butter and oil together in a large saucepan over medium heat. When the butter is bubbly, remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the sugar. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
Whisk in the flour, cocoa and salt until JUST combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
Bake for 17 to 20 minutes, until a wooden pick comes out clean or with little moist bits clinging to it. Cool the brownies, in the pan, for a few minutes before cutting into 12 to 16 brownies. Store leftovers (if there are any) in an airtight container.
Makes 12-16 brownies
