Cheesy Pasta Waffles

Here's a great recipe for leftover angel hair or cappellini pasta! You can also do this with ramen noodles...

I took leftover pasta, added egg, seasonings, cheese, and a little sauce, and in just minutes, I transformed my leftovers into a fun, hand-held treat! Plus, I found a new use for that waffle iron!

Note: I didn't give a specific amount for how much of the pasta mixture to add to your waffle iron. That's because all irons are different. Mine takes about 1/3 cup per waffle, but follow your manufacturer's instructions to be sure.

Cheesy Pasta Waffles

Cooking spray
2 cups cooked angel hair or cappellini pasta (thinner pasta works best)
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup marinara sauce, plus extra warm sauce for serving
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat your waffle iron and coat with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients and mix well. Add the mixture to your waffle iron and cook until steam escapes from the sides and pasta is golden brown (make sure egg is cooked through). Serve with extra sauce on the side for dunking.
Makes 4-6 waffles
