My world is rocked yet again! This simple, 2-ingredient treat is a true crowd-pleaser. Strawberry and vanilla marshmallows, dunked in rich dark chocolate. But take note... the fluffy, chewy-sweet marshmallows are submerged only halfway, keeping the other half perfectly soft.
How perfect are these chocolatey/chewy gems for holiday parties, birthday celebrations and host/hostess gifts? They come together in just minutes - with just TWO ingredients!
This clearly isn't a recipe - more of an inspiration! You need a bag of marshmallows and chocolate! I chose good-quality chocolate melting wafers, but you can certainly use chocolate chips/morsels or chopped good-quality chocolate. You can also add sprinkles (add the sprinkles before the chocolate sets)!
Chocolate Covered Flavored Marshmallows
2 cups good-quality chocolate melting wafers, chips/morsels, or chopped chocolate
1 bag strawberry and vanilla flavored marshmallows
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Melt the chocolate in a small bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, or in the microwave, checking and stirring every 30 seconds.
Dip the marshmallows in the chocolate, covering half of the marshmallow. Allow excess chocolate to drip off and then transfer the marshmallows to the prepared pan to set.
Use a fork to drizzle leftover chocolate over the marshmallows on the baking sheet. Cool until set.
Makes about 45 marshmallows
