Chocolate Dunked Rice Krispies Treat Balls

Chewy-crispy, sweet balls of puffed rice cereal and marshmallows, dunked in sultry chocolate. Four ingredients, no bake, ready in minutes, and the ultimate crowd-pleaser!

These are next-level rice krispies treats! I had so much fun making these... the 3-ingredient, crispy-sweet mixture comes together in just a few minutes (on the stovetop). Then, you get to shape the mixture into bite-size balls and dunk them in chocolate! Get the whole family involved and turn it into a party!

For this batch, I used dark chocolate. Feel free to use milk or white chocolate instead (or make a variety).

These are the PERFECT treat for holiday celebrations and birthday parties! Definitely put them on your "must make" recipe list!

Chocolate Dunked Rice Krispies Treat Balls

2 tablespoons butter
2 cups mini marshmallows or chopped regular marshmallows
3 cups puffed rice cereal
Vegetable oil or shortening for coating your hands
1 cup dark or semisweet chocolate chips or melting wafers, such as Chocoley

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and heat until melted and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove the pan from the heat and fold in the cereal. Coat your hands with a small amount of vegetable oil or shortening. Shape the mixture into 30 to 32 balls, each slightly smaller than a golf ball and transfer the balls to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water until soft (the chocolate may still look like it's holding its shape, but it will melt when stirred). You can also melt the chocolate in the microwave on 50% power, checking and stirring every 30 seconds.
Dip the balls in chocolate, coating them halfway, and return them to the lined baking sheet. Let stand until the chocolate is set.
Makes 30-32 balls
