Pizza Ravioli

Ravioli? Pizza? How about both?! Tangy pizza sauce and gooey cheese are nestled inside these toasty, parmesan-dusted wonton wrappers. Golden and crisp on the outside, saucy and cheesy on the inside. The perfect little bite, no matter what you're craving.

The perfect marriage of pizza and ravioli - and super easy to prep. In fact, all the ingredients are store-bought, so this is basically an assembly-style recipe. I served them as an after-school snack, but they would also make a fantastic (family-friendly) dinner AND party appetizer.
And these little squares of joy are super adaptable - meaning you can add your favorite pizza toppings to the filling. Some awesome additions: sliced pepperoni, onion, bell pepper, sauteed mushrooms, steamed spinach, blanched broccoli, cooked sausage, anchovies, and black olives. Yes, ham and pineapple work too!

Pizza Ravioli

1 package wonton wrappers (about 48, 3-inch square wrappers)
3/4 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce of choice
6 ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into 26 pieces (about 1-inch each)
Olive oil cooking spray
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or foil.
Arrange 24 of the wonton wrappers on flat surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the sauce in the center of each wrapper. Top the sauce with a piece of mozzarella cheese. Moisten the edges of the wonton with a little water (with your fingers or a pastry brush). Place a second wonton wrapper over top and press the edges together to seal. Transfer the ravioli to the prepared pans. Spray the top with cooking spray and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
