Garlic Butter Focaccia with Fresh Herbs

Wowza time! Crisp crust, chewy middle, loads of garlic and herbs, and a hint of sweet butter. Store-bought focaccia never had it so good.

And this works with ANY store-bought loaf. I chose focaccia this time, but you can also jazz up baguettes (sourdough, French and Italian), ciabatta, and those take-and-bake loaves and rolls that are ready in under 15 minutes.

Garlic Butter Focaccia with Fresh Herbs

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Store-bought loaf of focaccia bread
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave. Whisk in the garlic powder and oregano.
Place the focaccia on the prepared pan and brush all over with the garlic-herb butter.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, until the loaf is golden and crisp on the outside. Sprinkle the parsley and basil over top and serve.
