Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan and Balsamic Glaze

Few things are better than simply roasted vegetables. And this asparagus is no exception! And it's incredibly easy to prepare too. Like embarrassingly easy. Just don't tell anyone. Make this your go-to preparation and serve the spears with your favorite meat, fish, poultry, and pasta dishes.

Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan and Balsamic Glaze

1 bunch fresh asparagus spears, woody ends trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons shredded or grated parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons balsamic glaze

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add the asparagus and blanch for 1 minute. Drain and transfer the asparagus to the prepared pan; spreading out the spears in a single layer. Drizzle the olive oil over top. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the cheese over top.
Roast for 15 minutes, until the asparagus just starts to turn golden brown.
Drizzle with the balsamic glaze just before serving.
