All the goodness of the classic sandwich, in a decadent little bite. And you won't believe how easy this is. I made 12 little bites, but you can literally make dozens of these at once, making them perfect for a party.
Oh, and check out the homemade "au jus" dipping sauce. Even though you're not using the actual sauce from roasting the beef, you'll never know the difference. It's soooo good, you'll want to drink up every last drop.
French Dip Bites
1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon flour
Pinch of garlic powder
3-4 thin slices roast beef (good quality)
12 mini toast crackers
1/4 cup shredded Pecorino Romano or parmesan cheese.
In a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, soy sauce, flour, and garlic powder. Whisk until blended. Set the pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add the roast beef slices and remove from the heat.
Pull the roast beef apart (with your fingers!) and arrange on the toast crackers. Sprinkle the cheese over top.
Serve the extra broth mixture (au jus) on the side for dipping.
