Jazz up those frozen dinner rolls and turn them into smiling bunnies! There's really nothing to this recipe - just rolls, parm and olive oil. For the nose, eyes and mouth, I used gel food coloring and a small paintbrush. You can also use food coloring pens. Have fun!
Bunny Dinner Rolls with Parmesan!
8 frozen dinner rolls, thawed according to package directions (I chose 3-4 hours on the counter)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1-2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
Food coloring or food coloring pens
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Arrange 4 of the dinner rolls on a parchment- or foil-lined baking pan.
Divide the remaining 4 dinner rolls in half, making 8 equal pieces. Roll the pieces into bunny ears and nestle them under the whole dinner rolls on the baking pan (don't worry, they'll stick as they bake). Brush the rolls with the olive oil and sprinkle with the cheese. Using a small knife, make a small slice into the center of each "ear" (just about 1/8-inch deep).
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Create the mouth, nose and eyes with the food coloring.
Makes 4 bunnies (2 dinner rolls per bunny)
