Here's how this dessert was born: I had about one half of a bag of marshmallows leftover from my marshmallow fondant (for the Track and Field Cake). I wanted to make a super fast dessert for the boys, something fun and different. Well, these are fun AND different!
And, because you can toast the marshmallows all at once, they're a breeze to prepare. I made 12 shooters, but you can make as many as you want.
S'mores Shooters
12 marshmallows
12 small pieces of a chocolate bar (I used 3 Hershey's miniatures for 12 equal pieces)
1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs
Preheat the broiler.
Arrange the marshmallows on one "end", on a parchment-lined baking pan. Like this:
Place the pan under the broiler and broil until browned. Like this:
Turn the marshmallows on their sides and broil until golden.
Flip and broil the other side.
Once both sides are browned, turn the marshmallow upright, so the un-broiled side is facing up.
Nestle a piece of chocolate into the top. Like this:
Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over top.
Serve warm or room temperature.
Makes 12 shooters
