Seafood Lovers Pizza!

I don't know about you, but I adore shellfish. Shrimp, crab, lobster - all of it. I could eat it every day and never get bored. Especially when I jazz up a pizza with it! And, in this case, I saved a little money by using "imitation" crab, the sticks made with surimi. When I only need a little, I think it's a better option. Enjoy!

Seafood Lovers Pizza

2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and ground black pepper
1 pound frozen pizza or bread dough, thawed according to package instructions
1-1 1/2 cups pizza or pasta sauce (depending on how much sauce you like)
1-1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (depending on how much cheese you like)
1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and sliced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
2-4 crab sticks, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper and add to the hot pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Set aside.
Roll the pizza dough out into a large circle or rectangle, about 1/2-inch thick. Transfer the dough to a large baking pan or pizza stone.
Top the dough with the sauce, mozzarella, bell pepper, shrimp, and oregano. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese melts. Top the pizza with the cherry tomatoes, crab and basil just before serving.

Serves 4-6
